Blackthorne Blog

Ridiculous adventures in the virtual environment of Second Life© - random twitter-esque musings and other often boring but sometimes interesting things.

Be warned, after perusing this site, you may just go running away, ridiculously insane. There also is a feed from my 'SL Views' blog: Socially|Mundane here. I'm also a "twit".

Last week, Microsoft posted a slew of non-security updates for Windows 7, one of which was titled as follows: “An update is available to improve the stability and the reliability of Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2.” Unfortunately, according to a thread on Microsoft TechNet, the update (KB977074) is actually breaking the stability and reliability of the operating system."

Okay to be fair there have been an Apple update or two in the last three decades where things went awry. But I don;t recall any of them jeopardizing actually stability (I could be wrong here.) And if it did, at least it wasn’t intended as a stability fix!

    AH-hahahahahaha!

My Windows XP Professions is still stable as the Rock of Gibraltar and slick as snot, thank you very much.

Windows 7 stability fix breaks stability, puzzles Microsoft
